Tripolis park

Architect: Concrete
Location: Amsterdam
Surface: 900 m2
Delivery: 2023

Tripolis Park is a place where architecture, history, and the future come together in a powerful interplay of contrasts. The office campus in Amsterdam’s Zuidas district unites the monumental Tripolis complex by Aldo van Eyck with a modern “landscraper” designed by MVRDV. Between these two worlds lies the atrium, a spacious, seven-story-high area that exudes calm, transparency, and movement.

The interior design by Concrete plays with scale, light, and rhythm. Large glass surfaces, clear structures, and natural materials create an open environment that feels both monumental and human. Van Eyck’s design language remains subtly present, not as a nostalgic reference, but as a layered foundation for a contemporary interior.

At the heart of the atrium is the central elevator lobby, which, with its sharp geometric lines and mirrored walls deliberately contrasts with the warm, organically shaped wooden elements found throughout the rest of the space. Though compact in size, the lobby feels grand. Strategically placed mirrors create depth, reflection, and unexpected perspectives, while also encouraging visual contact and interaction between users. Functional, yet with a distinct aesthetic layer.

BigBrands had the pleasure of contributing to this exceptional project. In collaboration with Concrete, we were able to visually enhance the interior design, with a focus on material, color, form, and brand experience. Every visual element was carefully aligned with the architectural context, aiming to create a cohesive whole where identity, function, and experience come together.

We are proud of our contribution to Tripolis Park, a project where the connection between people and space takes center stage. A place where heritage is respected, innovation is embraced, and brand experience is made tangible in every detail.
