With the recently delivered Canvas Living, Rotterdam has gained a new hotspot in the vibrant Brainpark. This innovative residential concept by Greystar is all about community and connection for students and young professionals.
BigBrands was responsible for the turn-key interior furnishing of the 614 apartments and 1,400 m² of common areas. We combined design, procurement, complex custom work, logistics and execution into a single seamless, streamlined process. This resulted in a successful completion, fully within budget and even a month ahead of schedule.
We translated the bold and creative design concept into a technically feasible, buildable design. HD+VK’s “HPNG concept,” in which every part of the building transforms into a small, subtle experience (happening), is full of subtle surprises: from daring geometric and sculptural forms to unexpected textures. Through smart value engineering, we brought this ambitious vision to life without compromising the design’s impact.
From the impressive main entrance to the complete fit-out of the study areas and meeting spaces: Every item has been carefully selected.
For the public spaces, we provided high-quality, custom solutions that complement the concept’s high-end aesthetic while also withstanding intensive daily use.
Thanks to this turnkey realization, we’ve brought the interior designer’s vision to life in every corner of the building. From the moment you step through the entrance, you enter a world full of unique facilities that we’ve fully furnished: from the luxurious private dining room and the complete gym to a private cinema room and the skylounge.
Combined with the complete fit-out of the apartments and studios, the result is a unique living environment where privacy and community are perfectly balanced.
