Meet Maarten, Head of Operations & Finance at BigBrands.
Since August 2025, I have been part of BigBrands as Head of Finance & Operations. In this role, I focus on strengthening our internal processes and financial organization. My goal is to create structure, clarity and momentum so that the teams can work efficiently and we can deliver faster and better results.
BigBrands has grown rapidly in recent years, and that growth requires structure that evolves along with it. What attracted me to BigBrands is the combination of creativity and entrepreneurship. It’s a company that is constantly developing, with a young team eager to learn and grow. And that energy is contagious!
I enjoy contributing to an environment where we not only deliver great projects but also become smarter, more consistent and more professional together. This way, we keep creating inspiring projects while continuously improving the way we work, always with attention to the people behind it.
My background is in business controlling and process optimization within larger corporations in the logistics and transport sectors. Those experiences taught me a lot about structure, transparency and how to use data and processes to create control in an organization, but also about the importance of collaboration to make improvements truly stick. At the same time, I realized that I fit best in an environment where there is room to build, improve and achieve visible results.
In my work, I value calmness, clarity and ownership. I believe in short lines of communication, clear agreements and collaboration based on trust. Different insights help to make sure our targets remain clear. We constantly look for ways to improve, explore new solutions and make sure every project adds real value.
What gives me energy is seeing progress: when something that felt complex yesterday works today. When we achieve results together, help each other and think beyond our own roles.
